Housing in Kelowna
The City of Kelowna is committed to developing a safe and inclusive community where people from all walks of life can find their home.

The City encourages a variety of housing opportunities across Kelowna through partnerships, land contributions, policy, zoning, grants and tax incentives.
• The City has contributed land to seven supportive housing
projects in partnership with BC Housing.
• Since 2001, the City has directed more than .5 million to the
Housing Opportunities Fund.
• From that fund more than 0,000 annually is granted to
developers to build rental housing.
• These incentives contributed to 1,048 rental units that were
started or built in Kelowna in 2016, with a similar number
expected in 2017
